Limit Calorie Consumption, Multiply The Carbs Make Longevity

A new study found a low-protein diet high in carbohydrates and can be just as effective as the low calorie diet. This diet can extend the age and good for heart health and digestion.

Scientists previously believed that the way that is proven to have a longer age is to restrict calories.
But researchers from the Center for the study of Charles Perkins at the University of Sydney have found similar benefits combined with low protein diet and high in carbohydrates.

"We have known for years that a calorie restricted diet with increasing age, in almost all living organisms," says Profesor Stephen Simpson, Director of the Academic Charles Perkins Center which is also involved in the research.
"But, there is little calorie reduction which could hold up to 40 percent in the long term, and this in fact at risk of losing bone mass, the libido and fertility."

For this latest study, they compared the two rats One rats on calorie restricted diets, while the other mice do diet combined with high protein, but low in carbohydrates.

"As a result, the mice got the same benefits from the combined low protein dietlow and high in carbohydrates, such as a calorie restricted diet is up to 40 percent," said Professor Simpson.

"If the same is true for us, this means either to the aging process with reduced pain compared to the restriction of calories," he added.
